Bridesmaid Dresses Visited

April 7th, 2008 by anselmasroczynski

By Morgan Hamilton When a woman has the honor of being asked to be an attendant at a wedding, probably the first thing that pops into her head is the bridesmaid dresses. There are a whole bunch of horror stories about nasty looking dresses that were chosen as bridesmaid dresses. I have seen tons of awful looking gowns, the ones from the 80s seem to be especially hideous. There are still plenty of fine looking bridesmaid dresses out there, so be warned bridal attendants. I had the honor of paying the maid of honor for my best friends wedding and we recently checked out a bridal store to try on our gowns. The bride chose a few bridal gowns and she chose a few bridesmaid dresses in advance. It’s always a smart thing to do when you can take care of everything in advance because you never know it’s going to come up that it’s really great to have time to adjust for those surprises. I tried on three bridesmaid dresses and I was relieved and impressed with the brides excellent fashion sense. When she told me that she wanted the bridesmaids to wear pink, strapless gowns, my heart may have stopped. I imagined a shocking pink flamingo look, form-fitting dress, that would point out every single flaw on my frame - yuck. We’ll actually found or three lovely bridesmaid dresses that were complementary to any type of figure and you can’t beat that. The tough thing was actually willing down my choices to just one. The bride and I agreed which bridesmaid dress looked the best on the Internet, but we were pleasantly surprised to see that her number two choice, we liked even better. When I tried it on it felt comfortable and I felt at ease with that particular bridesmaid dress. The bridesmaid dresses or a whitish-pink, and though they are strapless, not my favorite choice, the bride decided to incorporate short jackets as an accessory for those of us who prefer not to attend church looking like Madonna. The jacket is clean and elegant, just as the lovely pink gown was. I think that I will be very happy with the brides choice. This choice was really a no-brainer for the bride and I was relieved that I only had to try on three bridesmaid dresses. You won’t believe this but sometimes I have tried and dozens of dresses for a single wedding. I actually think that she knew which one I preferred and chose that one. I tried to keep my opinion to myself until after she made her choice. It was after all her wedding and her decision and I didnt want to influence her in any way just to please me. She may have regretted being swayed and it’s really not worth doing that. Fortunately for both of us she chose a great gown. I saw many other gowns that were nothing short of horrendous. There were bridesmaid dresses that ballooned at the bottom like something out of Cinderella. There were bright orange dresses that made us look like the great pumpkin. I actually saw a gown, and I’m not making this up, that was strikingly similar to a ballerinas tutu and I thanked the stars above that the bride in the wedding Im attending or smart enough not to go for a number like this. Although the final decision has back treatment may get and she hasn’t ordered the bridesmaid dresses yet so you never know… Morgan Hamilton offers his findings and insights regarding wedding. How to Tell if a Woman is Not Trustworthy

April 6th, 2008 by anselmasroczynski

By Don Diebel Let’s talk about trust in a relationship. Mutual trust is very crucial in establishing a successful relationship. If you get involved with a woman you can’t trust, this can cause some serious problems in your relationship. So, what are some of the warning signs that the woman you’re dating may not be trustworthy? Here’s a list of the major ones: She’s always late for dates and offers no apology or explanation. Or even worse, she makes up lousy excuses. She’s dishonest with you and you catch her telling you lies. You keep asking her for her phone number at home and she refuses to give it to you. You would think that after a few dates, any normal woman that was sincerely interested in you wouldn’t mind you calling her at home. She won’t look you straight in the eye when she talks to you. Whenever you try to make plans with her to meet your family or get together with your friends, she makes up excuses to avoid meeting them. Also, she never brings up the subject of meeting her family or friends. After you’ve been dating awhile she’s hardly ever available. Most of the time you can’t get in touch with her and she offers no explanation. She constantly gossips about other people. Trust me on this one, if you tell her your deepest secrets, she’s going to tell everyone she knows. She’s a very selfish person. So, what do you do if you’re dating someone with all or most of these warning signs? I don’t know about you, but I don’t care to date a woman I can’t trust. It makes me lose respect for her. I’m not advising you to dump every woman who is untrustworthy. I’m just offering you some warning signs so you can make good judgements for avoiding relationships with potential problems that will cause you unhappiness. Party Planning Ideas for Teenagers

April 5th, 2008 by anselmasroczynski

By Christine Harrell Planning a party for a teenager can be a difficult balance of finding something they deem cool and something parents feel is safe and appropriate. Teenagers, regardless of how much they want to be adults, are still big kids at heart who love to laugh, act silly, and burn off energy. Inflatable outdoor games are a perfect idea for teen parties. Contrary to what many realize, inflatable rentals are much more than kids slides and bouncers. Todays inflatable rentals are fun, physical, and truly unique. Below youll find a list of the top-rated inflatable outdoor games for teenagers: Inflatable Sumo Wrestling In this hilarious game, teens strap themselves into enormous inflatable sumo suits and try to topple each other over. When the unlucky contestant tips over, theres no getting up easily in this big round sumo suit. Teens love the physical aspect of this game and parents like the fact that its a safe and fun way to be competitive. This inflatable outdoor game doesnt require a lot of space. The mat is approximately 16 feet in circumference perfect for those with a limited amount of outdoor space. Human Bowling Everyone has a blast with the human bowling inflatable rental. Its just as much fun to roll your friend down the enormous inflatable bowling lane as it is to get strapped into the 4 foot steel ball itself and try to knock down the pins. Human bowling requires a fairly large space with its 30ft by 8ft area. This game is great if youve got a larger outdoor area or will be renting a park for the party. The Rock Climbing Wall This outdoor activity isnt inflatable, but several piece of solid plastic that the rental company will assemble upon delivery. Having a rock climbing wall at the party is sure to be something that will be talked about and remembered. The wall is a physical and comparatively competitive activity for more mellow crowds that arent interested in dueling head to head. A harness is included so teens can take chances and push their limits while still feeling safe and secure. Since the mass of the rock climbing wall is vertical instead of horizontal, it requires very little space and is well suited for smaller yards. Inflatable Slip and Slide This isnt the tiny strip of plastic you remember as a kid! The inflatable slip and slide is gigantic at 12 feet wide and 30 feet long. Its made with super slick lanes and an extra padded back and sides for hours of entertainment. These inflatable rentals only require a garden hose to get the party slipping and sliding. The inflatable slip and slide is great idea for younger teens with lots of energy and a perfect compliment to a pool party. Trying to find something that both parents and teens can agree on can be challenging at best. The last thing any teen wants at their party is for guests to be bored or have their parents organizing activities. Outdoor rentals give teens the opportunity to enjoy some structured chaos, burn off lots of energy, and have a lot of fun. Loan Calculators

March 31st, 2008 by anselmasroczynski

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jimmy_Sturo]Jimmy Sturo It’s nearly impossible to go through life today without taking out some kind of loan. From buying a home to buying a car, from paying for a college education to buying consumer durables, everyone needs loans to finance their purchases. With each loan taken out, repayment installments become an increasingly important part of the process. The problem one often faces is how to calculate the numbers related to one’s loans. Whether it’s a smaller repayment installments with a longer duration or larger installments with a smaller duration, the calculations send most people into a confused state. A financial planner or expert can take advantage of a loan calculator. They address the numbers problem by helping to quickly figure out the various permutations and combinations that are possible for loan repayment and calculate the equated monthly installments. Loan calculators differ based on the type of loan being considered. For example, students requiring financial aid have specific loan calculators designed for them. These custom calculators help them ascertain school costs, how much one needs to save and how much aid one needs. These calculators compute an estimate of the size of the monthly loan payments and the annual salary required to manage the repayments without too much financial difficulty and with a short tenure. Similarly there are other calculators that help with mortgage and auto loan calculations. Mortgage calculators providing an estimate of the price of the home one may be able to afford and the mortgage amount that one qualifies for. Others calculate one’s monthly mortgage payments quickly and easily by entering the loan amount, interest rate and length of the loan. These calculators are essentially easy to operate and user friendly too. All that is required is to fill in the numbers and the rest of the job is done by the calculators. A variety of specialized online loan calculators are available today. However, it is important to use online calculators that are provided by a reputed site or company to minimize the chance of errors. Effective Tips For Telemarketers

March 29th, 2008 by anselmasroczynski

By James Yuille I had a telemarketer call me recently. Heres a rough transcript of the conversation. Think about it (Telemarketer) Hello, Mr. Yuille?(Me) Yes? Mr. Yuille, its Tracy from XYZ marketing (names changed to protect the innocent).Yes, Tracy, Mr. Yuille, Im calling to update our mailing list.Yes, Can I just take a minute to check some details?Yes, but let me ask you; what do you want to send to me? Ah, well, Im just new here and all Im supposed to do is check the database information is accurate. Can I ask you, is your Company name IMA Group and is your postal address still PO Box (Interrupting) Tracy, let me ask you again what mailing list is this for and what do you want to send me? Uh, well, I dont know. Im just a casual employed to make these calls Thanks, Tracy can I ask you to find out what they want to send me and call me back so I can decide if I even want to be on this list? Uhm, no, Im sorry but I dont know who Im doing this work for. Im calling from home and its for an agency. If you like, I can delete you from the list. Good idea, Tracy, thanks. Bye. Goodbye Mr. Yuille. Theres a very simple message here to anyone running telemarketers: Tell them why theyre doing it. Its part of what I call the Bullet-proofing process. What it means is that every member of your team has to know what youre about. Each one of them needs to have a 30-second Elevator Speech they can deliver on cue to explain your game plan and why its of benefit for the listener to keep listening. Have You Given Up On Yourself?

March 28th, 2008 by anselmasroczynski

By Graham Harris Have you given up on yourself? Have you decided to take the easy road and coast for the rest of your life? Have you come to the decision that you have done all you could possibly be expected to do in your life now it is someone elses turn? As you get older you may not be able to run as fast, swim as far, hit the ball as hard or even concentrate as long as you used to but is that the reason to give up? Surely your aim should be to be the best you can at whatever age you are. Navratilova wants to be as good a player as she can possibly be at the age of 47, just as she wanted to be the best she could possibly be at 19, at 25, at 35. (Nick Pitt). Whether you are like Navratilova and still working or retired and hitting a golf ball around or focussed on the garden or the grand children, nothing is stopping you from being the best you can. Dennis has been retired for about eighteen years and still hankers back to the old days when he was.. and capable of doing. Although he is an avid gardener he continually gripes about the length of time things take and when I was younger. The result has been a gradual, deterioration of his health over the recent past and since his wife died, about five years ago, the world has owed him a living and he appears to have got angrier and angrier with the world and people around him. Michael, on the other hand, also retired about eighteen years ago and took the opportunity to improve his golf. When his wife died about seven years ago, after a period of mourning and self reflection, he made the conscious decision that he had to get on with his life and decided to do two things. Firstly, he decided to continue with his golf and make an effort to play at least twice a week and be the best he could. This, in his terms, means not to let anyone down and do his best in every competition. Secondly, Michael decided that there were a lot of places in the world that he would like to visit before he died and he set about visiting Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Canada, and many other countries with the result that he is totally unaware of and unrestricted by, his age. He is good company and always willing to enter into a conversation about the present and what is going on in his life. Last year he severely damaged his knee playing golf and had to undergo emergency surgery which resulted in many hours of physiotherapy and six months plus in the lounge chair. Confined to barrackss is how Michael described it. But he took it all in his stride putting the same endeavour into getting well as he put into the other areas of his life. As both these men are members of our family it never ceases to amaze us how different these two characters are. They both had similar life experiences but when you compare and reflect on their current situation there is one thing that stands out. Michael is determined to be the best he can be at 83, just as he wanted to be the best he could be at 40, 50 and 60. He rarely, if ever, talks about the past. He always focuses on whats happening now. He has not given up on himself. Just to show you how amazing the human mind is: The following text gives a good insight into the way your mind works. It may appear a bit difficult at first but please stick with it. Dont give up on yourself. There may be some unintended consequences but to have an enjoyable and rewarding life the aim must always be; to get the best out of yourself. The point is dont give up on yourself. What is the Lesson of Jonah and the Big Fish?

March 26th, 2008 by anselmasroczynski

By Carey Kinsolving “God’s lesson is that you can run from me, but you can’t hide,” says Kate, age 10. “If you are playing hide and go seek or if somebody can’t find you, God can,” says Sara, 10. We all think we’re experts at hiding from God. Our stories may not be as dramatic as Jonah’s, but they’re just as real. God always wins at hide and seek. “You cannot run from God even in the belly of a fish!” says Aaron, 11. “It’s like God has see-through glasses. He’s got heat-seeking eyes or life-seeking sensors.” In this case, God’s life-seeking sensors detected something in Nineveh, the capital of Assyria. God told Jonah to deliver his message to the Assyrians, but Jonah bought a one-way ticket for a cruise in the opposite direction. God changed Jonah’s travel plans by making him the world’s first submariner. “Jonah was in the fish for three days and three nights,” says Madison, 10. “He prayed day and night that he could get out of the fish’s slimy, smelly stomach.” God has ways of stopping us in our tracks when we’re running from him. Jonah’s prayer is desperate: “When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord” (Jonah 2:7). Why wait until you’ve exhausted your resources before turning to God? He will hear you from the depths of despair, but he’ll also hear you before you buy a wrong-way ticket. “Once when I was 4 years old, I tried to steal some candy from a store,” says Patrick, 10. “I tried to hide it from God, but he let my mom know that I had done it. My mom told me to put it back, and I was grounded for three hours that day.” Whether it’s three hours in your room or three days in the belly of a fish, the lesson is the same, says Patrick: “You shouldn’t never run away from God.” Today, we have more sophisticated ways to run. No need to buy a ticket on an ocean liner. Select your escape from several television channels, computer games or websites. Keep the noise level high at all times. A prolonged quiet period is too dangerous. Your conscience might intrude. “I think God gets really sad when we run from him just like we do when we want to play with our friends, and they leave us out,” says Kelsey, 9. There’s a tendency to think of God as an impersonal being incapable of being hurt. God is a passionate, jealous lover, and he pursues us when we run from him. In the end, Jonah did obey God, says Langdon, 11: “Jonah did go to Nineveh, and he told people about God. The people in that city were saved, but then Jonah got angry and went east of the city.” Jonah wanted to see God zap the Assyrians. They were some of the cruelest, most wicked people in recorded history. We shouldn’t be too hard on Jonah for wanting a ringside seat. Like Jonah, perhaps our view of God’s grace and mercy could use some adjustment. We may condemn sins in others while ignoring, denying or excusing our own. The people of Nineveh believed God when they heard Jonah’s message. God withheld his judgment after Nineveh’s king issued a nationwide decree to fast and turn away from evil. In the end, Jonah learned a lesson we all need to learn: “Even if you really don’t want to go or do what God tells you, just trust him to make things right,” says Laura, 11. Think about this: When you run from God, he will always find you. Memorize this truth: “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence?” (Psalm 139:7). Ask this question: Are you running from something you know God wants you to do? Carey Kinsolving is a syndicated columnist, producer, author, speaker and website developer. Three Questions People Are Asking About Health Care in America

March 24th, 2008 by anselmasroczynski

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Marc_Eskew] Marc Eskew Q. Why is there so may uninsured people in America? A. There are over 44 million uninsured people in this country and over 75 million underinsured because of three main factors: 1. Insurance rates continue to rise each year by 10-25% forcing many people to drop their health insurance. 2. Layoffs in the job market have left many people in a difficult situation when it comes to protecting their families. Many of those that arent laid off are seeing their insurance benefits cut. 3. More Americans today are facing health challenges that virtually make them uninsurable. Q. How is America coping with this growing problem? A. Not very well. The only alternative so far for many thousands of people is to seek medical care in overcrowded, understaffed, county hospitals where they virtually have no choice as to the quality of the Health Care they receive. Q. So what is the answer to this growing problem for those trapped in the Health Care Crisis? A. Well, if someone finds themselves trapped in the middle of either not being able to afford traditional major medical insurance, or not able to qualify for insurance because of pre-existing conditions, the alternative is to participate in a health care savings benefit program. These programs allow you to purchase your health care at Managed Care Prices which are the reduced rates that traditional insurance companies pay the doctors and hospitals. The better programs also offer additional membership insured benefits as well like accident benefits, daily hospital benefit, office visit benefit, and accidental death benefits to name a few. The key to finding a program to fit your needs is to look for a company that has been in business for a long time with a track record of assisting people attain these kinds of savings. A program with feature driven benefits is your best value when looking for non-insurance alternative health care solutions in todays market. Niche Marketplace Demands Exhibitor Efficiency

March 22nd, 2008 by anselmasroczynski

By Susan Friedmann Right now, the business world is a-buzz about Chris Anderson’s latest book, The Long Tail. Even if you haven’t read it, chances are you’ve heard of it: the best-selling business book that predicts the future of business lies in selling less of more. Niche marketing, Anderson posits, isn’t just tomorrow’s trend — it’s today’s reality. The idea has caught on, and in a big way. Many companies are entering niche marketplaces — tailoring some or all of their product line to meet the needs and desires of a specific target audience. Doing so will allow companies to dominate certain segments of the marketplace, resulting in small but very profitable pockets of income. Perhaps your firm is doing exactly that. Perhaps they’re about to. What does this mean to you? Well, your marketing workload just got a lot heavier. Diversifying your product line into several niche markets can result in the following: - Increased number of brands - New and different target markets to attract - Increased number of product launches - Increased number of relationships that have to be begun and maintained - Constant need for new and innovative marketing campaigns to differentiate each individual brand Does your head hurt yet? All of this is a LOT of work. You know how much time and effort you’re putting into your current campaigns. Increasing that to accomodate the niche market strategy can put a real strain on your department, especially since, chances are, your budget did not get proportionately larger. What can you do? The clear profit potential inherent in the niche model makes it irresistably attractive. However, to maximize the return from adopting this new model means that you’ll have to take a good, long, hard look at your exhibiting practices. What worked yesterday won’t work today. For one thing, you won’t have the money to do things the way you used to. Budgets never blossom as quickly as enthusiasm for new ideas. You’ll have to do more with less. In this new environment, the key to exhibitor effectiveness is efficiency. It is crucial that you make the most of your limited resources to promote a wide range of niched goods and services. Applying this concept to the tradeshow environment means embracing the following six steps: Step One: Do Your Research At this point, researching which shows to exhibit at becomes crucial. You may be trying to attract many disparate target audiences. Are your interests best served by exhibiting at many smaller shows or one larger, national show? Make your selections based upon the size of the target audience you’ll be able to reach. This may mean changing your showing schedule, forgoing some shows you’ve previously attended that do not focus on your target audience and exhibiting at some new shows that do. Step Two: Create Unifying Themes Marketing many disparate brands can present challenges. You want to highlight each line’s unique features while reinforcing the parent company’s positive image. Using unifying themes, either overtly or in a more subtle fashion, can help accomplish this. Pay careful attention to color choice, language, and more. Step Three: Offer Educational Programming Speakers, seminars, hands-on demonstrations and other educational programming are great ways to attract large numbers of your target audience all at once. You’ll be speaking to many people at a time, delivering your marketing message in one of the most efficient ways possible. Step Four: Raise Visibility Explore sponsorship opportunities to raise your visibility at any tradeshow you’re attending. This can be a very cost-effective way to put your name prominently front and center: in advertising, by underwriting the cost of speakers or programming, hosting hospitality suites, and more. Step Five: Plan Ahead for Key Players Most attendees are at a tradeshow for less than a day. With hundreds of booths to see and a limited amount of time, there’s a real possibility that you might miss out on some great prospects unless you make an effort to preclude that from happening. Schedule meetings ahead of time with your best customers and key prospects. This way, you’ll be assured of having at least some face time with them, and they’ll know you value their business. Step Six: Follow-Up Aggressively All the work you did to prepare for and exhibit at a tradeshow is for nothing if you fail to follow-up. Yet this is where most exhibitors drop the ball. Make a plan covering how you’ll follow-up with leads collected at the show, from initial thank you to scheduling sales meetings. Then stick to it. You’ll be glad you did. As you can see, the trend toward niche markets will necessitate some changes in how you exhibit. However, the core essentials of how you do business: focusing on the attendee’s needs, qualifying questions, and an emphasis on follow up, remain the same. Written by Susan A.
